Remuneration: $45.49 - $64.48 phr + Super + NFP Salary Packaging (save tax and increase your take home pay)

The Cooinda Mental Health inpatient unit is a state-of-the-art 33-bed acute unit for those aged 18 and over. With private, well-equipped rooms, patients have use of the dining room, laundry, lounge areas, visitors' lounge, outdoor areas, music room, art and craft room, therapy rooms and gymnasium. Our service provides assessment and evidence-based treatment for patients experiencing, mood disorders, anxiety disorders, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD)/trauma, eating disorders, psychotic disorders, addictions, complex needs due to a mental illness, as well as young adult and older persons mental health needs.
An integral part of our team, as a Occupational Therapist, you’ll be encouraged to grow, develop and feel empowered to make the everyday easier for the people we care so passionately about. Let’s make a meaningful difference, together!
Your part in our Buderim Hospital team
You will join our multidisciplinary Mental Health team of rehabilitation specialists, physiotherapists, occupational therapists and nursing staff, providing a wide range of rehabilitation services, offering both inpatient and day programs. Areas of work may include:

Functional Assessments and Discharge Planning
Impatient Group Sessions and ADHD Day Programs
What makes a difference for us?
As a qualified practitioner, you’ll bring an open, collaborative approach with:
Minimum 2 years’ post graduate experience in an acute hospital setting preferably with Mental Health experience
Relevant qualifications and AHPRA registration
Strong, evidence-based clinical practice and problem-solving skills
Commitment to teamwork and high level communication skills
Willingness to obtain required vaccinations in line with hospitals infection control requirements, as well as undergo national criminal history check and functional assessment
