Supervise and coordinate daily operations of the Central Sterile Services department, including decontamination, sterilization, and distribution of instruments. Lead staff training and collaborate with surgical teams to ensure timely delivery of sterile equipment.
Requires a high school diploma or GED and a CRCST certification from the Healthcare Sterile Processing Association. Candidates must have at least 3 years of related experience in central sterile processing or sterilization.
Shift: 3pm-11p Mon- Friday
Supervise and coordinate the staff and daily operations to include decontamination, assembly, sterilization, storing, and distributing all instruments handled by Central Sterile Services. Assembles and disassembles case carts. Ensures staff compliance with sterilization techniques, policies and procedures. Functions as a leader, preceptor and educator. Manages and maintains department inventory and equipment. Collaborates with surgical team to coordinate timely delivery of sterile instruments for surgeries and procedures. Assist leader with compliance to ensure the department complies with all local, state and federal healthcare regulations and standards. Develop and implement training programs for new staff and ongoing education for current team members.
Required- Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) - Certification - Healthcare Sterile Processing Association (HSPA)
3 years related CSS, sterilization, or central sterile processing experience REQUIRED
