The Registered Nurse provides direct care to complex patients as part of an interdisciplinary team and manages treatment plans in an outpatient setting. They also participate in shared governance, support new team members, and engage in performance improvement and evidence-based practice.
Candidates must be graduates of an accredited nursing program and hold a valid Registered Nurse license in the Commonwealth of Virginia. A minimum of one year of relevant experience and an American Heart Association BLS certification are required.

Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing program required. Bachelor of Science in Nursing required within 5 years of hire.
Experience: 1 year of relevant experience.
Licensure: Licensed to Practice as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Virginia. American Heart Association (AHA) Healthcare Provider BLS certification required.
Job requires standing for prolonged periods, frequently traveling, bending/stooping. Proficient communicative, auditory and visual skills; Attention to detail and ability to write legibly; Ability to lift/push/pull 20 - 50lbs. May be exposed to chemicals, blood/body fluids and infectious disease

UVA Physicians Group (UPG) was founded in 1979 as a supportive partner to UVA Medical Center and UVA School of Medicine.
