The Senior Architect will translate customer requirements into practical technical designs, implementation plans, and operational solutions.
This position will work across infrastructure teams to align virtualization, compute, storage, networking, security, migration, and operational readiness activities.
Support architecture design for VMware platforms across enterprise infrastructure environments.
Develop and review high-level and low-level technical design documentation.
Translate business, technical, security, and operational requirements into architecture recommendations.
Support implementation planning for virtualization upgrades, migrations, consolidations, and modernization initiatives.
Evaluate dependencies across compute, storage, networking, security, backup, monitoring, and disaster recovery platforms.
Participate in technical design reviews, architecture reviews, and implementation readiness assessments.
Identify technical risks, constraints, integration concerns, and recommended mitigation actions.
Support migration planning, sequencing, testing, validation, and transition activities.
Collaborate with engineers, administrators, security teams, project managers, and customer stakeholders.
Review configurations and implementation plans for alignment with approved architecture and customer standards.
Develop technical procedures, architecture decision records, implementation guidance, and operational documentation.
Support operational readiness reviews and transition activities with customer infrastructure teams.
Provide technical guidance and knowledge transfer to customer personnel.
8 years of enterprise infrastructure, systems engineering, data center, cloud, or virtualization experience.
3 years of VMware architecture or engineering experience.
Experience designing or supporting enterprise virtualization solutions.
Experience with compute, storage, networking, backup, monitoring, and infrastructure integration.
Experience developing technical designs, implementation plans, migration plans, and operational documentation.
Experience supporting platform modernization, consolidation, upgrade, or migration initiatives.
Experience participating in technical reviews, validation activities, and operational readiness assessments.
Ability to identify technical risks, dependencies, and implementation constraints.
Strong technical writing, communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.r.
VMware certification or equivalent Broadcom or vendor experience.
Experience with VMware Cloud Foundation modernization and private cloud transformation.
Experience supporting highly available, classified, or mission-critical infrastructure environments.
