The Software Engineer will provide independent technical evaluations of contractor-led software modernization efforts, including architecture, algorithms, and data strategies. They will oversee the software development life-cycle, review technical documentation, and ensure alignment with government hardware and cybersecurity requirements.
Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field and have at least 8 years of relevant experience, with 3 years in the DoD. The ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance and a Security+ or equivalent certification is required.
ARES has an exciting opportunity for a Software Engineer supporting the Engineering, Professional, and Administrative Support Services (EPASS) Contract at Peterson SFB. In this role, you will support software modernization efforts by providing independent technical evaluation of contractor-led development activities, including software architecture, algorithm performance, open systems architecture, communications, and data strategies.
This is a full-time position at Peterson Space Force Base, Colorado. This role is hybrid with approximately 1-2 days remote based on Government discretion. Travel may be required to CONUS and OCUNS locations (approx. 10%).
Multiple levels of this position are available.
Minimum Qualifications:
Clearance: Ability to obtain and maintain Top Secret clearance.
Education: BS in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
Years of Experience: 8 years of relevant experience in the following listed below, at least 3 years of which must be in the DoD.
Certifications: Ability to obtain a Security+ or equivalent certification
