The Produce Manager oversees the daily operations, profitability, and staffing of the produce department while serving as the Manager on Duty. Key duties include ordering inventory, maintaining product freshness, and ensuring world-class customer service.
Candidates should ideally have a high school diploma and 1-2 years of experience in retail produce and supervision. Proficiency in MS Office and the ability to obtain forklift and food safety certifications are required.
The Produce Manager is responsible for the successful operation and profitability of the produce department which includes training, directing and monitoring all department staff. Department Managers are responsible for the success of their own department and are required to fulfill the duties of the Manager on Duty (MOD) on a scheduled basis.
