JOB PURPOSE

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Key Responsibilities

• Lead/support cost and quality improvement activities that are related to the product design.

• Translate customer requirements into specified design criteria. Initiate CVM.

• Lead DFMEA activity from project initiation through to the life of the product.

• Develop product design concepts/solutions that meet customer/PHINIA/Industry requirements/standards.

• Product line Bill of Design is utilized in developing design concepts and solutions.

• Create and maintain product Bill of Material.

• Provide technical input to ensure proper test and validation plans are developed and implemented.

• Utilize I&CIM processes to efficiently resolve technical issues.

• Participate in Project Team activities.

• Communicate design direction and review technical issues with customers.

• Ensure that product design activities meet timing and cost targets.

• Understand and follow Product Design Release Engineer tasks and responsibilities per the Product Development Process.

• Understand and follow PHINIA’s Divisional Engineering Procedures, as well as CTC site procedures.

• Responsibilities on production support.

• Lead product engineering activities in manufacturing plant.

• Support daily production of responsible product.

• Manage product activities related to manufactory.

• Work with cross-functional team on emergency issues on related products.

• Comply with safety related regulations and rules; Complete all safety training; Participate in and be familiar with the company's emergency process; Achieve the company's safety KPI.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering.

• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent language skills in oral and written English and Mandarin.

• At least 3 years’ experience in Product Design development.

• Automobile industry products (e.g. Powertrain Systems and Electronics) are preferred

• Self-motivated, hardworking, countable, good team player.
