The CNC Machinist is responsible for setting up, programming, and operating CNC machines to produce high-precision components for hydro turbines. This includes interpreting engineering drawings, monitoring machine performance, and ensuring all parts meet strict quality and safety standards.
Candidates should have a high school diploma or equivalent, with an associate degree preferred and 2 to 4 years of experience as a CNC Machinist. Proficiency in blueprint reading, geometric tolerancing, and basic mathematics is required.
Machinist II is responsible for setting up, programming, operating, and maintaining CNC machines to produce high-precision components used in hydro turbines and complete turbine assemblies. This role involves interpreting engineering drawings, selecting appropriate tooling, and ensuring all parts meet strict quality and safety standards. The machinist monitors machine performance, makes necessary adjustments, and performs inspections to maintain accuracy and efficiency. Working closely with engineering and production teams, the CNC Machinist helps ensure reliable, high-quality turbine components are delivered on schedule.
