Candidates must hold a Bachelor's degree in an engineering, technology, or science field with at least six years of relevant experience, or 10 years of equivalent experience in Naval Sensor Systems. The role requires the ability to obtain a Secret U.S. Government clearance and the physical capability to deploy on navy vessels.
Amentum is seeking a FORACS Electronics Engineer - Test Section to support the NATO FORACS project in West Palm Beach, FL. The NATO FORACS project's Mission is to provide NATO maritime forces with the opportunity to undergo comprehensive calibration of sensor, weapon, combat, communication and navigation systems to clearly defined accuracy and performance standards. The project operates under the umbrella of the Atlantic Undersea Test and Evaluation Center (AUTEC). AUTEC supports Research, Development, Test and Evaluation (RDT&E), and Fleet readiness assessment and training. AUTEC is a Major Range and Test Facility Base (MRTFB) and the Naval Undersea Warfare Center, Division Newport's largest single team project, providing both deep and shallow water test and training environments. Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Government Clearance. Note: U.S. Citizenship is required to obtain a Secret Clearance.
The FORACS Electronics Engineer is responsible for supporting sensor accuracy testing on U.S. and NATO surface ships, submarines, and helicopters for the AUTEC Project.
