The Machine Tech I is responsible for setting up and operating various secondary production machines while performing light bench and assembly tasks. They must ensure all parts meet quality standards and maintain a safe, orderly work environment.
Candidates should have good communication skills, basic shop math proficiency, and the ability to lift up to 30 lbs. A high school diploma or GED is preferred, and applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
Howmet Fastening Systems (HFS) is seeking a Machine Tech I in our Torrance, CA location. HFS is a business unit of Howmet Aerospace, headquartered in Torrance, California. We hold the number one global position in aerospace fastening systems, and we’re the North American leader in commercial transportation fasteners. Our high-tech, multi-material fastening systems are found nose to tail on aircraft and aerospace engines. Our products are also critical components of industrial gas turbines, automobiles, commercial transportation vehicles, and construction and industrial equipment.
Sets up and operates various secondary production machines. Operator will also perform light bench, hand and assembly operations in the department to which assigned. Operator will be held to established production and quality standards. Operator will have control to make minor adjustments to the process or machine after tasks are assigned.
