The Instrumentation Technician will install, maintain, and repair process instrumentation and control systems to ensure 24-7 plant operations. They are responsible for performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting complex system issues, and managing documentation such as logic diagrams and calibration records.
Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED and 3-5 years of related experience in instrumentation and controls. Proficiency in reading blueprints, troubleshooting PLC systems, and working with various industrial control components is required.
Job Summary
Under the direction of the E&I Manager, assist, direct or train workers to install, maintain, or repair process instrumentation, equipment, or fixtures. Ensure compliance with applicable electrical codes. Lead instrumentation projects around the plant and work with Engineering, Maintenance, Refinery and Boiler Room to ensure 24-7 operations. Troubleshoot complex process instrumentation issues with the ability to shift focus to changing priorities. Create and update logic & electrical diagrams, instrument spec sheets, calibration records, etc.
