The Design Engineer supports preconstruction design delivery and coordinates construction-phase activities such as RFIs, submittals, and field design changes. They also perform quality control reviews, monitor design schedules, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize technical solutions.
Candidates must hold a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering and possess 3-6 years of relevant experience in Design-Build or P3 projects. Proficiency in CAD and familiarity with AASHTO, FHWA, and DOT standards are required, with a Professional Engineer (P.E.) registration preferred.
The Design Engineer will support the preconstruction design delivery of the project, under the direction of and in coordination with the Design Manager. Understand how Design-Build and P3 projects fit together: contracts, standards, construction, designers, and deliverables. During construction the Design Engineer will coordinate RFI’s, minor work changes, field design changes and construction submittals.
