The Lead Platform Engineer will design, develop, and support technical solutions across a full-stack of development tools while leading the craftsmanship and scalability of these systems. Candidates must have at least 6 years of experience with build and deployment tools, 4 years of AWS experience, and 2 years of team leadership. A high school diploma or equivalent certification is the minimum educational requirement.

We are seeking Integration Engineers who are passionate about creating and supporting DevOps tools with emerging technologies to join our team. As a Integration Engineer, you’ll have the opportunity to be on the forefront of driving a major transformation within Capital One.
What You’ll Do:
Work with product owners to understand desired application capabilities and testing scenarios
Continuously improve software engineering practices
Work within and across Agile teams to design, develop, test, implement and support technical solutions across a full-stack of development tools and technologies
Lead the craftsmanship, availability, resilience, and scalability of your solutions
Bring a passion to stay on top of tech trends, experiment with and learn new technologies, participate in internal & external technology communities, and mentor other members of the engineering community
Encourage innovation, implementation of cutting-edge technologies, inclusion, outside-of-the-box thinking, teamwork, self-organization, and diversity
Utilize scripting languages like Python, SQL, Ruby and Groovy, Container Orchestration services including Docker and ECS, CM tools including Ansible and Terraform, and a variety of AWS tools and services
Basic Qualifications:
High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent certification
At least 6 years of experience using build and deployment tools (Jenkins, GitHub, or Artifactory)
At least 4 years of experience with AWS
At least 2 years of team leadership experience
Preferred Qualifications:
5+ years of experience with AWS
2+ years of experience in Agile practices

McLean, VA: $164,800 - $188,100 for Lead Platform EngineerNew York, NY: $179,700 - $205,100 for Lead Platform EngineerPlano, TX: $149,800 - $171,000 for Lead Platform EngineerRichmond, VA: $149,800 - $171,000 for Lead Platform EngineerCandidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate’s offer letter.
This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI).
