The Contractor SAP Security Officer manages security administration and ensures compliance for multi-level programs and classified areas. They are responsible for conducting security briefings, maintaining accreditation documentation, and overseeing personnel and physical security procedures.
Candidates must have at least 5 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree and an active Top Secret/SCI security clearance. Proficiency in developing SOPs and experience with government security regulations and inspection preparedness are required.

Through collaboration with our customers, we manage security risks, reduce vulnerabilities, and support MITRE’s overarching mission. Within Global Security, the Industrial Security department is responsible for ensuring more than 100 accredited facilities/areas are inspection-ready, maintaining compliance with NISP standards, ICDs, and Cognizant Security Authorities’ implementing guidance including tracking relevant security agreements, system and facility accreditations, and Physical Security UL certificates to prevent lapses that could significantly impact business operations.
MITRE is seeking a consumer engagement focused Contractor SAP Security Officer (CSSO) to manage security administration and ensure compliance for a multi-level program and associated classified areas at its McLean, Virginia, headquarters. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional interpersonal skills, a proactive approach to addressing mission needs, and a commitment to delivering seamless security support to internal and external stakeholders. This role requires the ability to foster strong relationships, provide clear guidance, and act as a trusted resource for program teams, ensuring security processes align with mission objectives.
