Why we need this role
We are looking for an Optical TAC specialist with the expertise to ensure effective and timely resolution of network and service issues related to the optical technology domain. The role involves managing both domestic and overseas issues across the APAC region, supporting infrastructure implementation, optimizing network performance and health, managing vendors, and maintaining network security and governance.
The Optical TAC specialist is responsible for supporting the Service Delivery team with circuit provisioning and activation, as well as serving as an escalation point for incident handling from the Service Assurance team, including effective problem management and resolution. In addition, the role involves performing software upgrades and other maintenance activities to ensure the network remains up to date and operates optimally.
What you will do
Support the Service Delivery team with circuit provisioning and service activation
Act as an escalation point as Tier-3 for incident handling from the Service Assurance team
Perform effective troubleshooting, problem management, and resolution for network and service issues
Collaborate with Global TAC teams to resolve complex issues and ensure timely problem resolution
Manage incidents across domestic and APAC regional networks
Execute software upgrades and maintenance activities to keep the network up to date
Ensure network stability, performance, and overall health optimization
Collaborate with vendors for issue resolution and operational support
Maintain network security, governance, and operational controls as a part of Global TAC role
What we're looking for
Proven experience over 10 years in network operations, TAC, or technical support environments
Basic English communication skills (written and verbal) for working in a global environment
Strong knowledge of optical transport technologies (e.g., DWDM, ROADM, OTN)
Hands-on experience in troubleshooting and resolving complex network and service issues
Ability to act as an escalation point and manage incidents effectively under pressure in business hours and out of business hours
Experience supporting circuit provisioning, activation, and service turn-up processes
Familiarity with Service Assurance and problem management practices
Experience performing software upgrades, maintenance, and network lifecycle management
Vendor management experience and ability to coordinate with external partners
Proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and network optimization
