Job DetailsLevel: ExperiencedJob Location: Main Office - Glendale, AZ 85301Position Type: Full TimeEducation Level: Not SpecifiedSalary Range: $55,000.00 - $70,000.00 Salary/yearTravel Percentage: Up to 25%Job Shift: AnyJob Category: ConstructionThe key function of a Safety Representative is to put Safety at the forefront of their job, makes the client’s needs priority, works well in a team setting, is self-managed, and is flexible when it comes to change. Will be visiting job sites in an outdoor environment, providing the safety guidance to field workers. Be part of the Compliance Department implementing and overseeing the safety program including the development of site safety policies and procedures. Will assist in determining the cause of unsafe conditions and injury claims through procedure, equipment, and facilities inspection and worker observation.
Support Training Managers with monthly Safety meetings (Ref. C 4.5.1 ss)
Provide OSHA 10 and OSHA 30 trainings
Conduct Toolbox talks as needed
Conduct daily Site Safety audits and provide report of site visit with findings (Ref. C 5.1.1 ss)
Conduct Supervisor Investigation for incidents (injury, accident, equipment theft, equipment damage, near-miss and line strike) (Ref. C 6.0 ss)
Facilitate corrective measures where warranted
Enforce safety policies and procedures as required by OSHA law and Company Policies
Perform periodic evaluations of tools and equipment
Ensure that safety meetings (toolbox talks) are taking place
Review and approve safety plans
Promote safe work practices
Experience with construction safety
Knowledge of construction
Excellent collaboration, problem-solving and communication skills
Strong organizational and time management skills
Good attention to detail, with the ability to recognize discrepancies
Strong work ethic – willing to do what it takes to get the job doneQualificationsQualifications
Must possess a thorough knowledge of interpreting and complying with OSHA as well as best practices in construction safety
1+ years of relevant safety experience working on construction projects
OSHA 30 in construction or higher OSHA certification
First aid/CPR certification (not required but a plus)
Must have a valid driver’s license
