About the Role:
The Assembly Technician II or III plays a critical role in the manufacturing process by assembling, testing, and ensuring the quality of complex products or components. This position requires a high level of technical skill and attention to detail to meet production standards and deadlines. The technician will collaborate closely with engineering and quality teams to troubleshoot and resolve assembly issues, contributing to continuous process improvements. They are responsible for interpreting technical drawings, schematics, and work instructions to accurately assemble products. Ultimately, this role ensures that assembled products meet all safety, quality, and performance specifications before moving to the next stage of production or shipment.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in an assembly or manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, schematics, and work instructions.
- Basic knowledge of hand and power tools used in assembly processes.
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks with high attention to detail and maintain quality standards.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate degree or technical certification in manufacturing technology or related field.
- Experience with electronic assembly and soldering techniques.
- Familiarity with quality management systems such as ISO 9001.
- Previous experience working in a regulated industry such as aerospace, medical devices, or automotive.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and experience using diagnostic test equipment.
Responsibilities:
- Perform precise assembly of mechanical and/or electronic components according to detailed work instructions and engineering drawings.
- Conduct in-process and final inspections to verify product quality and adherence to specifications.
- Identify, document, and communicate any assembly defects or process deviations to supervisors and engineering teams.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and test equipment safely and effectively to complete assembly tasks.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support continuous improvement initiatives and implement corrective actions.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to comply with safety and quality standards.
- Record production data and maintain accurate documentation for traceability and quality control purposes.

The required skills enable the technician to accurately interpret complex technical documents and execute assembly tasks with precision, ensuring product quality and compliance. Proficiency with hand and power tools is essential for efficient and safe assembly operations.
