Responsibilities
The Rooms Preventive Maintenance Engineer is primarily responsible for maintaining the highest standards of functionality and aesthetics through systematic maintenance and proactive care. This role ensures that all features and amenities adhere to the standards expected at a luxury property, aiming to maximize guest satisfaction and comfort.
Job Requirements
Conduct routine inspections and perform preventative maintenance on all features including HVAC, lighting fixtures, and bathroom amenities to ensure everything is in excellent working condition.
Address and rectify minor damages such as scratches, dents, malfunctioning hardware, and cosmetic issues in furnishings and fixtures.
Update and maintain detailed logs of maintenance activities, flagging any recurrent issues or significant damages that require more extensive repair.
Ensure all guest amenities are stocked and presented according to luxury standards, including but not limited to toiletries, minibar items, and stationery.
Comply with all safety and cleanliness protocols, maintaining a clean work environment during and after tasks are completed.
Regularly verify that electronics and digital interfaces function seamlessly, providing a hassle-free technological experience for guests.
Respond to guest complaints or issues regarding room maintenance swiftly, ensuring minimal disruption to their stay.

Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
Proven experience in a maintenance role within a luxury hotel or similar high-end hospitality environment.
Extensive knowledge of building systems including electrical, plumbing, and HVAC, with relevant certifications preferred.
Demonstrated ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced, luxury environment.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with guests and team members.
