At DPR, roles and responsibilities are more than describing a job title—they are a commitment to building great things together. The job description(s) below defines core responsibilities and the scope of the role and is a starting point. Every employee is expected to lead from where they are, take ownership of outcomes, and always act in the best interest of the team, customer, project and organization.
As a purpose-driven organization on a journey to be most admired, we rely on trust, shared leadership, open communication, disciplined action and a deep respect for the individual to drive exceptional performance. Success is not just about what we build, but who we build and how we build it: with integrity, enjoyment, uniqueness and an ever-forward mindset.
Job Summary: Facilitates the successful delivery of construction projects independently by applying comprehensive technical expertise in project activities, methodologies, and leading practices. Collaborates with multidisciplinary project teams, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure alignment with project requirements, adherence to schedules, and achievement of rigorous quality standards. Facilitates efficient project execution by proactively monitoring progress, analyzing performance metrics, identifying moderately complex project issues, and recommending strategic solutions to mitigate risks and optimize outcomes. Elevates team performance and facilitates continuous improvement by sharing comprehensive project knowledge and resolving moderately complex tasks.
Key Responsibilities: Reviews moderately complex technical aspects of construction projects, ensuring adherence to design specifications and quality benchmarks, while maintaining consistent field presence to support safe execution of work, participating in safety meetings including stretch and flex, and applying working knowledge of high-risk activities to support effective planning and controlled outcomes. Coordinates with project managers, architects, and subcontractors to resolve moderately complex technical challenges on projects, ensuring uninterrupted crew productivity and project progress. Reviews and provides feedback on construction drawings, submittals, and change orders for accuracy and alignment with project goals. Supports the implementation of project controls, including schedule tracking and cost monitoring, to support timely and cost-effective delivery. Prepares and presents progress reports, and technical documentation for internal and external stakeholders. Identifies and mitigates risks on projects through field analysis and the application of engineering solutions. Supports less experienced project team members in resolving moderately complex project issues and provides technical expertise on safety and quality standards.
Education Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, architecture, a related field, or equivalent experience required.
Work Experience: 4 - 6 years of experience in construction engineering, project engineering, or a related field required.
Certifications and Licenses: Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) 30-Hour Construction certification preferred. OSHA 30 program completion within 6 months of hire is required.
