Full job description
At Klaviyo, we value the unique backgrounds, experiences and perspectives each Klaviyo (we call ourselves Klaviyos) brings to our workplace each and every day. We believe everyone deserves a fair shot at success and appreciate the experiences each person brings beyond the traditional job requirements. If you’re a close but not exact match with the description, we hope you’ll still consider applying. Want to learn more about life at Klaviyo? Visit klaviyo.com/careers to see how we empower creators to own their own destiny.
At Klaviyo, we’re Built Different: a company of builders who take ownership, operate with candor, and believe we’re 1% done. That mindset shapes how we think about the experiences and technology that help Klaviyos connect, communicate, and do their best work.
We’re seeking a Production & Collaboration Technology Lead to own the strategy, delivery, and technology experiences that power how Klaviyos connect, collaborate, and come together globally. This is a role for someone who sees what needs to be better and takes ownership of making it happen. You won’t wait for a roadmap to be handed to you. You’ll understand where we are today, define where we need to go, and drive the work to get us there.
This is a highly hands-on role with global scope. The ideal candidate is equal parts technical operator, project owner, and experience builder: someone who can set the vision and standards for the function, lead complex initiatives from concept through launch, and personally jump into the work when needed. You’ll work through a network of partners across our global offices, providing technical direction and building the systems and standards that enable great experiences wherever Klaviyos work.
How You’ll Make a Difference
Own the global strategy and roadmap for production, audiovisual systems, conference rooms, collaboration technology, digital signage, and related infrastructure, while remaining hands-on in the design, implementation, and support of those environments.
Personally lead and execute high-profile productions and technical experiences when needed, including executive meetings, town halls, broadcasts, internal events, and hybrid experiences.
Own complex AV and collaboration technology projects end to end, from requirements gathering and technical design through project planning, vendor selection, implementation, testing, launch, and ongoing optimization.
Lead the AV and collaboration technology workstream for new workplaces, renovations, studios, and major infrastructure projects, coordinating internal stakeholders, integrators, vendors, timelines, budgets, and technical delivery from concept through handoff.
Ensure Klaviyo’s collaboration technology environment is intuitive, reliable, scalable, and built around how Klaviyos actually work.
Set global technical standards and provide direction to local partners supporting production and collaboration technology in other Klaviyo locations, creating consistency across our workplaces.
Partner with Communications, Workplace Experience, Events, executive leadership, IT, Networking, Security, and other teams to align technology investments and experiences with company priorities.
Own production and collaboration technology budgets, vendor strategy, equipment lifecycle planning, and major technology investments.
Establish clear operating standards, service expectations, metrics, and accountability across the function.
Use operational data, incident trends, production retrospectives, and employee feedback to identify opportunities and continuously improve the experience.
Build scalable systems, playbooks, standards, and processes that enable local teams to deliver a consistent experience and make excellent execution repeatable.
Create clarity around priorities and resource allocation, particularly when production demands, technical issues, and project work compete for attention.
Serve as the senior escalation point for critical production and collaboration technology issues, including jumping directly into troubleshooting and resolution when the situation requires it.
Who You Are
8+ years of experience in live production, broadcast, audiovisual technology, collaboration technology, or a related field.
You operate like an owner. You see what needs to be better, take initiative without waiting for direction, and drive the work through to completion.
Deep technical expertise across live production and AV, with experience owning complex projects from design through implementation and launch.
Experience with technologies and applications such as Jamf Pro, Okta, 1Password, Google Workspace, Atlassian, OfficeSpace, Freshservice, Greetly, and Zoom, or similar platforms.
A strong cross-functional partner and clear communicator who can work effectively with executives, technical teams, vendors, and partners across the business.
Calm under pressure and comfortable making decisions when the stakes are high, particularly during live productions and critical technical issues.
Willing and able to travel up to 20% of the time to support major productions, workplace build-outs, AV installations, and collaboration technology initiatives across Klaviyo’s global offices.
Willing to travel up to 20%
