Why Gravitate?
At Gravitate, we’re on a mission to reinvent how refiners and gas stations buy, sell, and transport fuel. We are proud to serve this massive industry that touches nearly everyone’s daily life. Our AI-powered technology suite is already delivering huge value for some of the world’s largest fuel companies, and we’re just getting started.
We’re growing fast, and we want ambitious engineers and problem-solvers to join us for the next wave of innovation. At Gravitate, you’ll work with modern tech, learn from experienced mentors, and see your ideas make an impact right away.
Our culture is built on high performance and high positivity. We believe winning is a team sport — we share knowledge freely, support each other, and celebrate every win together. We’re obsessed with finding better ways to solve tough problems, and we know the next big idea can come from anyone, including you.
If you’re a self-starter, a natural leader, and someone who truly cares about the work you do, you’ll fit right in at Gravitate.
About the Role:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Software Engineer (Entry Level) to join our growing technology team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone early in their career who is passionate about building software solutions that solve real-world problems. You’ll work closely with senior engineers and cross-functional teams to design, develop, test, and maintain our suite of applications across a variety of platforms.
Responsibilities:
Own well-defined tasks within your team’s product area, working closely with senior engineers on larger projects.
Deliver reliably against sprint commitments; flag risks as soon as you see them.
Participate in the team’s on-call rotation while building a working understanding of monitoring and observability.
Participate in code reviews, taking direct feedback and acting on it while contributing to team knowledge sharing.
Develop working knowledge of the fuel supply and logistics industry as it applies to your team’s product area.
Follow the team’s established design patterns and conventions, and be able to explain design decisions in review.
Write clean, tested code, taking ownership of the implementation, automated testing, and validation over the quality of your work.
Communicate early and often, focusing on learning and providing feedback to your team.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field—or equivalent practical experience.
Internship, co-op or professional experience in a software development organization
Solid understanding of software development fundamentals, algorithms, and data structures.
Familiarity with web development technologies, APIs, databases, and version control systems like Git.
Proficiency in one or more programming languages; preference given to candidates with experience in our stack (Python, .NET (C#), Typescript, React).
Strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn new tools and technologies.
Nice to Have (but not required):
Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
Experience with CI/CD systems like Github Actions.
Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
Why Join Us?
At Gravitate, people are not replaceable parts—they are the heart of our success. We believe in open communication, teamwork, and clapping for each other at every opportunity. Our culture emphasizes growth, collaboration, and creating lasting careers.
Problem solvers, go-getters, and charge-takers — we (really) want to hear from you.
We help fuel companies optimize their sales, supply, dispatch, and logistics with our AI-enabled software platform. Our modern platform allows all of the fuel supply-chain participants to easily transact in real-time.
