KidStrong Coach
Position Type: Part-Time Reports To: GM FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Compensation: $16–$20/hr (based on experience and certification level)
Build Strong, Confident, High-Character Kids - That's the Job.
At KidStrong, our mission is simple: help kids win at life. We build strong, confident, high-character kids through a science-based curriculum that develops the whole child - Brain, Body, and Character. And it's our coaches who make that happen.
A KidStrong class should be the best part of a kid's day. That's not the curriculum talking — that's you. You're the reason a shy three-year-old raises their hand first. You're the one who helps parents see their kid’s progress and how the program fits their goals. The work is active, visible, and meaningful every single day.
If you bring high energy, a genuine love for kids, and you thrive in front of a group - keep reading.
Deliver KidStrong's curriculum to kids ages crawling–11 in engaging, high-energy 45-minute classes (up to 24 hours/week)
Develop Brain, Physical, and Character in every session — not just athletic skills
Physically demonstrate movements, support proper technique, and keep every kid safe and progressing
Build authentic relationships by counting with and mentoring kids and families before, during, and after class
Guide parents through the flow of class — they're part of the experience too
Understand and communicate the why behind our curriculum clearly and confidently
Support Your Center
Use the KidStrong Coach App to record attendance, awards, and student data
Communicate with your team professionally in person and via Slack
Review weekly programming to prepare in advance of classes
Complete required certifications and ongoing training
Support KidStrong Camps during school breaks (Winter, Spring, Summer)
Support KidStrong parties and PNO events
Utilize all required systems and processes to keep accurate record of member information and deliver amazing trial and member experiences
What We're Looking For
Must-haves:
A genuine passion for working with kids — non-negotiable
High energy, strong presence, and the ability to hold a room of kids and parents
Positive, motivating communication style — you're comfortable speaking with both kids and caregivers
Minimum 20 hours/week availability, including evenings and/or weekends
CPR/AED certified (or willing to obtain before first class)
Physically active — you'll cover miles on the floor, demonstrate movements, and move equipment up to 50 lbs per shift
Strongly preferred:
Athletic or coaching background, ideally with kids ages crawling–11
Experience in PE, child development, athletic training, pediatric OT/PT, or a related field
Comfort having real conversations with parents about their child's progress
Our Coach DNA
KidStrong Coaches are the best of the best. We hire for character and competency — both matter.
Performer — You're engaging, fun, and naturally energizing. Class is your arena. Teacher — You don't just demonstrate; you explain the why so it sticks with kids and parents alike. Mentor — You invest in the kids you coach and the teammates beside you. Student — You're coachable, curious, and see every rep as a chance to get better. Professional — You show up prepared, follow through, and take ownership of your impact.
Why KidStrong
Flexible scheduling - designed to work with your life
Real advancement — opportunity to grow from Coach to Head Coach to center leadership
Ongoing training and development — we're committed to making you better at this
A team worth showing up for — collaborative, mission-driven, and genuinely fun
