Organizes and supervises the Extended Learning Program (ELP) after-school activities while ensuring the safety and well-being of children. Collaborates with site workers to standardize processes and manages data entry for the Tennessee Department of Education.
Requires a minimum age of 21 and a combination of education and experience, such as a bachelor's degree with one year of group setting experience or a high school diploma with a TECTA certificate and four years of experience. Proof of education and training is mandatory.
During before and after school hours extended learning programs, organizes, coordinates, and supervises the Extended Learning Program (ELP) after-school program. Develops daily programming and routines in collaboration with the ELP Site Worker to standardize processes used at their designated school site, including activities and the safety and well-being of all children while on school site grounds. In collaboration with the ELP Site Worker oversees data entry for Tennessee Department of Education (TDOE). Ensures program compliance with all applicable District policies and procedures, state and federal laws and regulations, and standards of quality and safety. Establishes processes to maintain program records.
A program Site Supervisor shall be at least twenty-one (21) years of age, and shall meet at least one (1) of the minimum qualifications listed below:

Minimum experience required
Graduation from an accredited four-year (4 year) college.
One (1) year of full-time experience in a group setting. Experience may be paid or unpaid. (2 years school-age care experience = 1 year full-time experience)
Sixty (60) semester hours of college training, with at least thirty (30) hours of which shall be in business or management, child or youth development, early childhood education or related field.
Two (2) years of full-time experience in a group setting. Experience may be paid or unpaid. (2 years school-age care experience = 1 year full-time experience)
High school diploma (or equivalent), and Tennessee Early Childhood Training Alliance (TECTA) certificate for completing thirty (30) clock hours of orientation training, or the equivalent as recognized by the Department.
Four (4) years of full-time experience in a group setting. Experience may be paid or unpaid. (2 years school-age care experience = 1 year full-time experience)
Degree Equivalency Formula:
Bachelor’s Degree= 4 years plus required years of experience.
Master’s Degree=6 years plus required years of experience.
