The tutor is responsible for generating academic plans and providing instructional support to students in small groups or individually. They also assist teachers with daily routines, classroom organization, and the documentation of student progress.
Candidates must possess an Associate's degree, two years of college credit, or a passing score on the ParaPro Assessment. Additionally, one year of experience working with children in an educational setting is preferred, along with CPR and First Aid certification.
The Before/After-School Certified tutor is responsible for the professional instructions designd to provide academic, social, physical and skill development for students in specifiv grades/subject areas to prepare them to be successful citizens and workers.
Graduation from an accredited college or university with an Associate's Degree, or two (2) years of college (minimum of 48 semester hours) from an, or a passing score on the ParaPro Assessment Test and one (1) year of experience working with children in an educational setting preferred. Must possess or be able to obtain certification in CPR and First Aid. (PROOF OF EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND/OR EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED)
Degree Equivalency Formula:Bachelor’s Degree= 4 years plus required years of experience.Master’s Degree= 2 years plus required years of experience. Where Master’s degrees are required, years for Bachelor’s Degrees must be included.
