Department Description
The HPU Office of Communications creates High Point University print and digital marketing materials and is responsible for the branding across campus and in the community. We manage the projects from concept to completion. The intern will work closely with the Director of Brand Management and the team at the Design Lab.
As a part of the team this position will experience the day-to-day operations and learn how the department works with and supports the Office of Communication and the entire university.
Job Location/ Hours Required
The candidate will perform all job duties in Roberts Hall in the Office of Communications and also some time at the HPU Design Lab – off campus – at the 806 Westchester Dr. location.
Hours may vary depending on the job requirements; however, the total number of hours a student employee may work per week is 20 hours. This position requires up to 20 hours per week.
Updating project information in the Air Table databases
Creating design projects in Canva and/or InDesign
Assisting with the creation of timelines for upcoming projects
Marking up files with edits and proofreading projects
Counting inventory and organizing products
Filing invoices and labeling and filing samples
Other duties as assigned
Computer skills with Excel and Word/Outlook
Excellent time management skills, self-motivation and attention to detail
Knowledge of the Adobe Suite, Canva and Photoshop

These providers must also, know how to lead in diverse teams and environments. The School of Dental Medicine and Oral Health at High Point University is intentionally designed to lead the country in innovative curricula and clinical experiences. Our students will be prepared through a blend of didactic courses, high-fidelity simulation, and a unique blend of patient care experiences. High Point University will provide personalized tracks to satisfy the career interests of our students. Students will complete coursework and clinical experiences across most specialties but will tailor their experiences to areas of interest in their fourth year through electives and specialty rotations.
