The Float Receptionist manages patient registration by verifying demographics, obtaining consents, and processing insurance information for accurate billing. They also provide direct assistance to visitors and handle payment collection and phone communications.
Candidates must have a High School Diploma or GED and a working knowledge of medical terminology and general office equipment. Strong communication skills and the ability to maintain strict patient confidentiality are required.
Schedule: Monday - Friday 4:00-11:00 PM
Location: Amherst and Williamsville (must be able to work at both locations)
Position Summary: Contributes to the care of patients by verifying demographics and personal patient information. Obtains patient consents and copies insurance card information to ensure accurate billing. Assists patients with various DENT forms and obtains insurance waiver signatures as necessary. Receives payments on patient accounts. Covers Registration and other areas of the clinic as needed. Provides direct assistance to patients, vendors, job applicants and other visitors in the Reception area.
