The Senior Power System Electrical Engineer will serve as a technical lead and project manager for substation and power plant design projects. They will collaborate with subject matter experts to perform power system studies, develop controls, and provide technical oversight to other engineers.
Candidates must have a PE registration or the ability to obtain one in Alaska within six months, along with extensive experience in electrical design and project management. Proficiency in industry-standard software like AutoCAD, ETAP, and SKM is required, as well as strong leadership and communication skills.
Electric Power Systems, Inc (EPS) is a unique company offering a wide range of services in the areas related to small and large utilities, industrial customers and Independent Power Producers. We provide power system operation studies and troubleshooting, design of new facilities and upgrading of existing facilities, consultation and studies. EPS designs substations up to 230 kV, power plants from 100 kW to 25 MW, and protection, control and monitoring systems including SEL based relays and PLC based SCADA systems. We extensive experience with PV based systems in remote locations and have integrated both PV and Wind power generation into remote diesel power plants.
Through our sister company, EPS also offers unique design/build services for a wide variety of projects from power plants to substations, transmission and distribution systems.
