Drive new business and grow existing accounts within the AEC, Real Estate, and Hospitality sectors in Tokyo. This includes generating a self-sourced pipeline, delivering technical demos, and exceeding quarterly SaaS and services targets.
Requires a proven track record in SaaS account executive roles with experience closing multi-year deals and using the MEDDPICC methodology. Native fluency in Japanese and advanced business English are mandatory, along with the ability to commute to the Tokyo office.

Matterport is looking for a Sales Account Executive to join our ambitious, enthusiastic and performance driven team. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled salesperson to be on the front line with your clients, selling solutions and services across AEC, Commercial Real Estate, Retail, Facilities Management, and Hospitality to a range of medium to large customers in Tokyo, Japan. You will thrive in a fast-paced environment and demonstrate a history of winning and exceeding targets.
Deliver and exceed quarterly targets for SaaS and Services. This is achieved by selling to clients regularly face to face and via online meetings.
Key focus on driving New Sales in your territory whilst growing a handful of selected existing accounts. This is a New Business role.
Generate Pipeline for your territory by prospecting into existing and new targets. Creating at least 50% of your own pipeline through your own networking, without relying on leads generated through incoming website/phone inquiries, tradeshows, seminars, and marketing/PR activities.
Deliver sales, technical presentations & demos to new & existing via both web presentations and on-site presentations including our Pro 3D camera.
Strong Product Acumen understanding of the Matterport value proposition and benefits.
Be operationally excellent in the day-to-day running of your territory by accurately forecasting weekly, monthly and quarterly numbers.
Excellent application of Sales tools such as SalesForce, GONG, Highspot, Linkedin.
Be a team player, working across the team of Services, Customer Success, Support and Pre-Sales team to ensure we have the right plans to support our customers.
Attend Sales meetings and prepare presentations.
Actively attend regional events, networking and customer events to drive business and relationships.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
Native fluency in Japanese (listening, speaking, comprehension, reading, writing). Advanced business level English language skills (listening, speaking, comprehension, reading, writing).
A proven track record in an Account Executive SaaS sales role or equivalent experience.
Proven track record in sales across Japan with strong, demonstrable SaaS sales experience with at least including closing multiple SaaS multi-year deals.
Able to effectively and successfully lead on up to 10-12 customer meetings a week.
Focused on Value Based solution selling using ROI and the MEDDPICC sales methodology across both mid market to enterprise deals.
Ability to create and build pipeline against a mid-range sales cycle, which closes within 4-9 months.
History of achieving 100% sales quotas.
Experience working in the SaaS Technology Space serving clients in one or many of these industries; Commercial or Residential Real Estate, Facilities Management, Manufacturing, Travel & Hospitality, Construction.
A resilient and driven team player.
Living in Tokyo or adjacent cities where daily commutation to Tokyo (Toranomon) office is possible.
