The Dietary Aide assists with food preparation, meal service, and maintaining strict sanitation and food safety standards. They are responsible for organizing the dining area, delivering tray services, and collaborating with the food services team to care for residents.
Candidates should have a Food Safe Level 1 certificate, WHMIS certification, and a negative TB test. A post-secondary program of one year and up to one year of experience in high-volume food services are considered assets.

Position Purpose summary:
The Dietary Aide assists with food preparation and meal service. The Dietary Aide responsibilities include maintaining food safety and sanitation standards, practicing proper hygiene procedures, assisting with meal setup and cleanup, and working collaboratively as a member of the Food Services team to provide excellent care for Southview residents.
Accountabilities:
The work environment is typically in a large and busy kitchen. The incumbent works as part of the dietary team.
