The Continuous Improvement Engineer is responsible for delivering operational improvements and managing day-to-day manufacturing needs to achieve safety, quality, and productivity goals. This includes leading the Quality Risk Management Process (QRMP), mentoring leads, and conducting annual process improvement plans.
A high school diploma is required, while an associate or bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred. Candidates must possess strong leadership abilities, interpersonal skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.
Under the direction of the Operations Manager and with the support of management staff, the Continuous Improvement Engineer will follow these job descriptions as it relates to the job title. The employee will own results for safety, right the first time, compliance to plan, sanitation, labor cost, through put, yield, operating systems health, hard asset improvement and team improvement. The employee will actively participate in annual planning, weekly PDCA meetings, DDS meetings and daily level 2 meetings. Coaches and develops their team by serving as leadership coach and resource. Spends floor time gathering information on operating system health information.
