The Intake Coordinator manages the single point of entry for in-patient intake, including phone triage, insurance verification, and pre-admission screenings. They coordinate between medical staff, patients, and referral sources to ensure timely admissions and provide crisis intervention when necessary.
A high school diploma is required, while a bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred. Candidates must have at least one year of healthcare admissions experience and obtain CPR and de-escalation certifications.
