The Behavioral Health Technician monitors patient behaviors and provides continuous care and supervision under the direction of a licensed nurse. Responsibilities include facilitating rehabilitative groups, recording vital signs, and applying de-escalation techniques during crises.
A high school diploma or equivalent is required, with a preference for six months of experience working with psychiatric populations. CPR and de-escalation/restraint certifications are required, though training is provided upon hire.
