Join Sonova in a pivotal leadership role shaping engineering, new product introduction, process development, and after-sales service across the Americas. As Director, Engineering – NPI & Process Development, Americas, you will lead the development of smart, scalable, and efficient manufacturing and service processes for both new and existing products.

Own the successful execution of new product introductions, ensuring products are validated, delivered on time, and prepared for a smooth transition into manufacturing.
Partner with R&D and manufacturing teams throughout the design process, including pFMEA and dFMEA activities, to ensure production requirements and process parameters are fully considered.
Drive continuous improvement across manufacturing and after-sales service processes throughout North and South America.
Develop and maintain regional governance for service policies, best practices, complaint management, quality improvements, and operational performance.
Use operational, financial, and statistical data to improve productivity, resource utilization, product quality, service costs, and overall P&L performance.
More about you:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; a master’s degree or MBA is preferred.
10+ years of progressive experience in operations, engineering, manufacturing, or a related field.
5+ years of leadership experience building high-performing teams and driving cross-functional continuous improvement with measurable P&L results.
Demonstrated success leading complex initiatives across Operations, Engineering, Commercial, Quality, and Finance.
Strong expertise in project management, manufacturing processes, financial analysis, and data-driven decision-making.
Exceptional communication and influencing skills, with the ability to simplify complex topics, gain stakeholder alignment, and lead teams through change.
Experience in a regulated or medical-device environment, Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification, and ERP-system proficiency are preferred. Willingness to travel up to 40% is required.
