As an HGV Refuse and Recycling Driver, you will complete a pre-planned route collecting waste and recycling from residential homes and commercial properties. You will also ensure vehicle safety checks are completed and maintain a clean truck before starting your rounds.
Candidates must hold a valid Class 1 or 2 driving licence and a Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC). Physical fitness is essential due to the nature of the work, and a friendly, professional attitude is required.

Join our Haywards Heath team as an HGV Refuse and Recycling Driver and play a vital role in keeping your community clean, safe, and sustainable.
Working alongside a professional and friendly team, you’ll deliver a full waste and recycling service to local residents and businesses. Your efforts will help maintain high standards across the community while providing excellent customer service every step of the way.
You’ll be entrusted to:
• Complete a pre-planned route as the driver, with your team of loaders, collecting waste and recycling from residential homes and commercial properties.• Be the public face of Serco in the community.
• Ensure that your vehicle safety checks are completed and that your truck is clean and work ready, before setting off on your round
In our team, we all pitch in! As well as driving the lorry, you’ll work alongside our loaders too – staying active and helping to get things done quickly and efficiently.
