Implement Individualized Education Plans (IEP) and manage classrooms for individuals on the Autism Spectrum. Conduct educational assessments, lead IEP conferences, and supervise teaching assistants to ensure student welfare.
Requires NY State certification in Special Education (Students with Disabilities 1-6 or 7-12). Experience with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) strategies is preferred.
QSAC Special Education Teachers require NY State certification (Students with Disabilities/1-6, 7-12). Teaching responsibilities include implementation of Individualized Education Plans (IEP), classroom management, participation in annual meetings, and completion of required reports. Extensive training and support are provided with opportunities for professional growth and development.
