The Business Office Manager supports facility operations by supervising office staff and maintaining business systems. Responsibilities include managing resident trust funds, handling Medi-Cal/Medicaid authorizations, and overseeing billing and collection processes.
Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent and a strong understanding of skilled nursing billing and payment processes. Proficiency in Microsoft products and at least one year of experience in a long-term care facility are preferred.
Supports facility operations by maintaining business office systems and supervision staff.
Assist with the overall supervision and management of the business office staff.
Education and/or Experience
High school diploma or equivalent.
Strong understanding of skilled nursing billing and payment as well as proficient in Microsoft products computer skills.
Preferable one-year experience in a long term care facility.
Language Skills
Ability to read technical procedures.
Ability to read and comprehend policy and procedure manuals.
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers and employees.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to solve practical problems.
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
Knowledge and experience with PCC preferred.
