The Business Development Representative is responsible for soliciting and qualifying new customers for the Cold Drink business while developing and executing profitable volume-building activities. They will manage account profiles and call schedules, focusing on new business acquisition and minimal maintenance of existing accounts.
Candidates should have 2-3 years of outside B2B sales experience and at least 1 year in package goods or systems sales. A high school diploma is required, with a bachelor's degree preferred, along with proficiency in MS Office and strong communication skills.
Business Development Representative for Greater Detroit, MI
From a customer perspective, is accountable for on-premise selling of cold drink, fountain and vending. From a sales strategy perspective, is accountable for primarily new customers (acquisition) and minimal account maintenance on big accounts or problem areas. Focus is on new business, filling voids, and distribution availability. From a process perspective, is accountable to access and persuade throughout the selling process. May also be responsible for equipment placement that is for immediate consumption, single serve, etc.
