SUMMARY OF THE ROLE

We are looking for a Coating Advisor to join our Alexandria team to provide expert technical support to customers through on-site coating application guidance, inspections, performance assessments, and detailed reporting. Collaborate closely with the local Technical Sales Support (TSS) team by providing product performance feedback to ensure coating specifications are met, projects are completed in accordance with contractual requirements, and customer satisfaction is achieved.

This position is based at our office in Alexandria and will report to the Protective Team Leader.

Responsibilities:

• Provide clear instructions to clients and relevant Jotun personnel on paint application by working independently on-site with customer representatives to ensure coating specifications are met and customer expectations are fulfilled.

• Support in developing on-the-job training and technical guidance.

• Manage projects involving advanced coating products by providing clear technical guidance to clients and relevant Jotun personnel in accordance with established working procedures, ensuring compliance with specifications and customer expectations.

• Conduct inspections of assigned projects independently, following the Inspection and Test Plan (ITP) and relevant working procedures, to verify that products are applied in accordance with the specified coating requirements.

• Prepare detailed technical reports, inspection records, and project documentation by compiling and analyzing inspection findings to demonstrate compliance with project specifications, industry standards, and customer requirements.

• Ensure all activities are performed in compliance with company HSE requirements, industry best practices, and applicable international standards.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR AND WHAT WE OFFER

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or science.

• Should be able to communicate fluently in English.

• Minimum 3 years of experience in the coatings industry, preferably with Protective and Marine Coatings.

• Strong knowledge of coating applications, inspection practices, and corrosion protection systems is preferred.

• Professional certifications such as NACE Coating Inspector Program (CIP) or other recognized corrosion/coating inspection qualifications is prefered.
