The Pipe Mill Inspector monitors and supervises facility pipe activities to ensure quality objectives and project specifications are met. Responsibilities include witnessing tests, conducting facility walk-throughs, and preparing detailed inspection reports for the client.
Candidates should have at least eight years of experience in pipe-related quality assurance and the ability to interpret national codes and technical drawings. A high school diploma is required, and industry certifications such as AWS CWI, API, or NACE are preferred.

The Pipe mill Inspector will be responsible for providing assistance to Client in the overall monitoring, surveillance and/or supervision of the facilities pipe activities and the procedures necessary for achieving the desired levels of quality as it pertains to the project.
Shift/Schedule: All inspectors are utilized on an Adhoc basis and are not provided daily duties. All needs are based on our clients’ needs and we source inspectors based on availability, location, taxonomy approvals, and specific client requests..
Participate in project meetings as needed
Supervise inspectors on a day to day basis to ensure effective utilization and timely verification of the project quality objectives
Coordinate the flow of information between the inspectors and other including client, contractors, subcontractors and vendors as appropriate
Witness testing, perform verifications, and monitor project activities
Routinely conducted facility walk-throughs and report on findings.
Review surveillance reports and request technical assistance, if specific or quality problems are indicated
Assess/Audit contractor, subcontractor, and vendor activities to ensure effective execuation of the quality assurance programs and plans
Coordinate surveillance plans and assit Client in scheduling the appropriate engineering specialists to ensure their participation where necessary to achieve the desired level of quality
Assist in the development of Client surveillance and inspection staff to monitor implementation of the contractor’s quality assurance program and plan
Compile information relating to contractor, subcontractor, or vendor quality, which can be used to support changes in their quality assurance programs, plans, and procedures
Report the status of the contractors, subcontractors, or vendors overall quality assurance program to Client and its specific effectiveness on the project
Provide coordination effort and assistance as requsted by Client
Prepare and issue inspection report

Ability to work well with others, multi-task, and is detailed oriented.
Valid Industry Certification preferred – Examples of such certifications include, but not limited to: AWS CWI, CWB Level 2, API 510, 570, SI, ASNT or CGSB NDT Level II, III. NACE Level 1, 2 or 3
