The OSP Project Manager will plan, schedule, and manage all phases of fiber construction projects while coordinating with internal teams and external contractors. They are responsible for ensuring project alignment, maintaining safety and quality standards, and managing budgets and documentation.
Candidates must have a bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience, along with at least 5 years of experience in OSP fiber and copper construction. Proficiency in project management tools and a strong understanding of telecommunications infrastructure and local permitting processes are required.
The OSP Project Manager is responsible for the overall management, coordination, and execution of outside plant (OSP) fiber and copper network construction projects. This role oversees project planning, field construction, permitting, vendor management, budgeting, and quality assurance to ensure that projects are completed safely, on time, within scope, and on budget. The OSP Project Manager collaborates closely with Engineering, Construction, Operations, and external contractors to deliver high-quality network infrastructure in support of Hotwire Communications' growth objectives.
Minimum Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Telecommunications, or equivalent work experience
• 5+ years of experience managing OSP fiber and copper construction projects
• Strong understanding of aerial, buried, and underground telecommunications infrastructure
• Experience with permitting processes, utility coordination, and local regulations
• Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., Smartsheet, MS Project) and Microsoft Office Suite
• PMP certification or similar project management certification is a plus
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
