This role is a key position within the Legal Department, providing direct support to the Head of Legal Function on strategic and operational matters. The Legal Manager will assist in developing and implementing legal strategies, managing complex legal issues, and ensuring that the department’s work aligns with the organization’s overall objectives. The role also involves active collaboration with team members to enhance the department’s efficiency, knowledge sharing, and overall performance.
Your role at HFM:
- Support the Head of Legal Function in executing the department’s strategic plans and initiatives.
- Conduct legal research, prepare reports, and provide recommendations on various legal matters.
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and other legal documents.
- Assist in developing and improving internal legal policies and procedures.
- Monitor legal and regulatory developments that may impact the organization.
- Coordinate with internal departments and external counsel on key legal issues and projects.
- Provide support and input on organizational legal projects, including new initiatives and special assignments as required.
- Manage the Legal Department’s daily activities and guide the team to work efficiently.
- Work closely with other members of the Legal Department to share knowledge, provide support, and ensure consistent legal advice and practices across the organization.
- Help foster a collaborative, professional, and solutions-oriented team environment.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Law (LLB) or equivalent;
- Minimum of 5 years of legal experience, preferably in a corporate or in-house setting.
- Strong understanding of corporate, commercial, and regulatory law.
- Excellent drafting, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently while supporting senior leadership on high-level matters.
