Are you passionate about making a meaningful difference in the lives of young children with special needs? Are you looking for a unique opportunity to lead a highly supported, specialized classroom designed for success?
We are excited to welcome a Special Education Teacher to our RIDE‑approved classroom in Providence with the age group being 12-15 year old students (Near Hope Street on the East Side of Providence). This established program serves young learners with disabilities in a nurturing, innovative, and highly individualized environment— currently with eight (8) students.
Salary: $60,000- $90,738 Annually (Based on education & experience)
Schedule: Monday- Friday; 8:15AM-3:30PM; Tuesdays are 8:15AM-4:15PM

Your Impact:
As the classroom teacher, you will:
Lead and coordinate individualized student programs
Develop and monitor IEP goals and instructional plans

Schedule, implement, and oversee daily programming

Ensure accurate and timely completion of student and staff documentation

What We’re Looking For:
Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or a related field (Master’s preferred)
Rhode Island Department of Education certification in Severe/Profound Special Education (We will consider Emergency Certifications)
CPR/First Aid Certification (We provide training if needed)
Safety Care Training (We provide training if needed)
At least one year of experience as a special education teacher is preferred
Strong communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills
