About the Role
As Manager, Policy, you will provide strategic leadership for policy initiatives across Alberta's Traffic Safety Services Division. Collaborating closely with senior executives, government partners, and stakeholders, you will lead complex policy research, development, and implementation efforts that inform decision-making, support legislative change, and advance transportation safety outcomes across the province.
You Will Be Responsible For:
Leading the development and implementation evaluation of complex policy, legislative, and strategic initiatives that support provincial traffic safety priorities.
Providing expert policy analysis, research, and advice to senior leadership and internal partners on emerging issues, trends, risks, and opportunities.
Managing high-profile projects and coordinating the preparation of Cabinet documents, briefing materials, reports, presentations, and executive communications.
Support legislative and regulatory development processes in collaboration with ministry partners, legal advisors, and stakeholders.
Building strong relationships with internal and external partners, representing the Division on working groups, committees, and cross-government initiatives.
Leading stakeholder engagement, consultation, and issue management activities to support evidence-based policy and program decisions.
Providing leadership, mentorship, and strategic direction to staff while fostering innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Supporting divisional planning, performance measurement, budgeting, contract oversight, and operational priorities to achieve organizational goals.

Qualifications
Required:
University degree in Public Administration, Business or related, PLUS 4 years related experience or equivalent as described.
Equivalency:
Directly related education or experience considered on the basis of 1 year of education for 1 year of experience, or 1 year of experience for 1 year of education.
For Example:
Related 1 year certificate PLUS a minimum 7 years of experience.
Related 2-year diploma PLUS a minimum 6 years of experience.
Related minimum 8 years of experience.
