The Industrial Engineer will evaluate manufacturing practices, manage production schedules, and improve workflows across four US Navy public shipyards. They will also manage Modeling and Simulation efforts to optimize layouts and equipment staging using tools like RFID.
Requires a Bachelor's degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Civil Engineering with at least 7 years of relevant experience in shipyard or production facility layout design. A current Secret security clearance and US citizenship are mandatory.
Industrial Engineer (SIOP-2026-25079):
Bowhead seeks an Industrial Engineer to join our team in providing program management support in a broad range of services to and assisting our US Navy clients. The Industrial Engineer will evaluate current manufacturing practices, manage production schedules, process work flows, enforce quality control, and improve production processes across the 4 public shipyards(PHNS, PSNS, PNSY, and NNSY) on behalf of PMO 555.
This position does not allow for telecommuting and all work will be performed on-site in at one of the following Naval Shipyards: Kittery, ME, Norfolk, VA, Bremerton, WA, or Washington, DC, with travel to the other Shipyards as required.
The SIOP Industrial Engineer will also be actively involved in the management of Modeling and Simulation (MODSIM) efforts across the shipyards to track layouts, floor plans, and equipment staging to ensure lean, streamlined access and up-to-date logs (utilizing RFID or other tracking tools).
Job duties include but are not limited to:
Target salary is $110,000/year to $140,000/year, commensurate with experience
SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Must currently hold a security clearance at the Secret level. US Citizenship is a requirement for Secret clearance at this location.
