The representative will engage fair attendees to share TPT's mission and secure memberships through professional sales and fundraising. Responsibilities include greeting the public, answering questions, and accurately entering membership data into an online form.
Applicants must have prior sales or fundraising experience and a strong familiarity with TPT and PBS programming. The role requires the ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and maintain a flexible schedule during the State Fair.
POSITION SUMMARY:
The TPT Membership Representative has a passion and knowledge around TPT's programming and mission, high energy, professional and engaging communication skills, and a strong drive for results. Flexible schedules of 4 to 8 hour shifts and performance incentives possible while working at the Minnesota State Fair.
LOCATION and SCHEDULED HOURS: This position will work primarily at the State Fair Grounds. Shifts will be approximately 8 hours daily (35 to 40 hours weekly) and are predominantly outside, with access to water, shade, and air conditioning as needed. Applicants must be available at least 10 days between August 24 through September 7, including weekends. This is approximately 35 to 40 hours per week.
August 24 and 25: These days will be spent onsite at TPT's Lowertown office from approximately 10:00 am to 4:00 pm.
August 27 through September 7: These days will be at the State Fair Grounds in designated shifts between the hours of 8:00 am to 6:00 pm.
