POSITION SUMMARY: Demonstrates Goodwill’s Core Values through actions
and behaviors. This position supports Goodwill West Texas
employees in overcoming barriers to employment, achieving personal,
educational, and career goals, while also providing career center services to
community clients. The Employee & Community Resource Specialist builds
professional relationships, provides coaching, and connects individuals to
internal and external resources to promote self-sufficiency, employment
stability, and long-term success.
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:
· High School
Diploma or GED equivalency required.
· A college degree in a human services, social work or related field is preferred.
· Some Human
Resources experience is preferred.
· One year full-time experience performing job training or case management, or workforce development services preferred.
QUALIFICATIONS / SPECIFIC SKILLS / KNOWLEDGE:
· Valid Texas
Drivers License and good driving record
· Ability to handle sensitive situations and confidential information.
· Ability
to travel as needed.

· Provide intake, assessment & training
skills development for participants, clients and employees. (E)
· Assess
barriers and identify the necessary services to support participation in and
achievement of individualized goals. (E)
· Identify
short- and long-term goals that support individuals on their path towards
education, training, personal and employment goals. (E)
· Develop
action plans and individualized Employment Plans (IEPs), including goals and
objectives to achieve employment and personal success. (E)
· Assign
tasks, offer resources, and connect individuals to other organizations in
accordance with plan recommendations. (E)
· Track
and document goal acquisitions and support individuals in their transition to
next steps according to their plan. (E)
· Organize
and maintain records, enter data and produce reports as requested. (E)
· Establish relationships with
employees, clients, managers, local employers, and community partners while
maintaining professional boundaries. (E)
· Track progress to ensure sustainable
employment and maintain frequent and consistent communication to monitor
success indicators. (E)

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:
· Travel within assigned region is required. (E)
· Travel is scheduled based on program needs and service delivery priorities.
EXPECTATIONS
· Respond to
Employee Development Program requests within 2 business days and conduct
initial meetings with employees within 5 business days.
· Maintain an active caseload of employees and community clients.
· Complete
follow-ups based on participant needs and program standards.
· Meet
departmental goals and benchmarks related to service delivery and program
success.
Maintain accurate and timely
documentation in all required systems.
