The paramedic is responsible for responding to emergency and non-emergency service requests to provide immediate care and safe transport for patients. They must also maintain the ambulance, complete required documentation, and collaborate effectively with public safety and allied health personnel.
Candidates must hold a current Georgia Paramedic license and a high school diploma or equivalent. Additionally, they must possess a valid driver's license with a clean record and demonstrate the physical ability to perform patient lifting and transport tasks.

Responsible for responding to emergency and non-emergency requests for service to provide efficient and immediate care to the infirm, critically ill, or injured and to transport to the appropriate destination.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as protocols, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to legibly write routine reports.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram format. The ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
