The Peer Recovery Specialist provides recovery-oriented support services to patients with substance use disorders by developing individualized recovery plans and facilitating support sessions. They also maintain accurate clinical documentation and coordinate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure effective patient care and relapse prevention.
Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent and at least one year of experience in mental health or substance use. The role requires the ability to obtain a Peer Recovery Specialist certification within one year of hire.

Peer Recovery Specialist Summary
Responsible for providing recovery-oriented support services to patients with substance use disorders.
Leverages experience and training to foster hope, purpose, and empowerment in patients actively engaged in
their recovery journey. Contributes to the development and implementation of individualized recovery support
plans and participates in treatment team meetings and individual patient planning meetings.
