The Regional DOT Manager serves as the primary subject matter expert for fleet compliance, ensuring adherence to FMCSA regulations across assigned regional offices. This role involves conducting site visits, performing compliance audits, and providing training to drivers and operational leadership to promote a culture of safety.
Candidates should possess five or more years of experience in DOT/FMCSA compliance and have extensive knowledge of 49 CFR Parts 382–396. Strong analytical skills, experience with fleet management technology, and the ability to travel 60-65% of the time are required.
Position Summary
The Regional DOT Manager serves as the primary DOT and fleet compliance resource for assigned Regional Offices within MEI Industrial Solutions. This position partners with Operations, Dispatch, Fleet Maintenance, EHS, Human Resources, Legal, Risk Management, and the Corporate DOT & Fleet Compliance Team to ensure compliance with FMCSA regulations while improving operational efficiency, reducing organizational liability, and promoting a culture of safety.
The Regional DOT Manager serves as the region's DOT and transportation subject matter expert by providing compliance oversight, training, coaching, operational support, and proactive risk management. The position is responsible for helping ensure consistent implementation of MEI's transportation policies, minimum standards, and best practices throughout the assigned region while recognizing the operational needs of individual locations.
This Hybrid role requires the ability to travel to North East regional office locations in Connecticut, Delaware, Maryland, Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, Virginia, and Washington D.C.
