Responsible for the administrative and operational handling of dangerous goods shipments, including packaging, labeling, and documentation. The role involves a mix of warehouse work and office tasks, including customer contact and providing expert advice.
Requires a background in transport or logistics (Mbo level) and a valid driver's license. Candidates should be willing to obtain or already possess VCA, ADR awareness, and Forklift certifications.
De afdeling Sample Management and Dangerous Goods Services is verantwoordelijk voor het verzenden van gevaarlijke en ongevaarlijke stoffen per weg-, zee- en luchttransport.
Onze expertise ligt op het gebied van de logistieke en administratieve afhandeling van zendingen met gevaarlijke stoffen. We bieden o.a. transportondersteuning, maken zendingen transport gereed en we geven advies aan en onderhouden contact met vervoersbedrijven, laboratoria en klanten. Dit doen we samen met 98 collega’s vanuit onze locaties Spijkenisse, Schiphol-Rijk, Eindhoven-Airport en bij onze klanten op hun locaties.

Als Dangerous Goods Specialist ben je verantwoordelijk voor de administratieve, operationele en logistieke werkzaamheden rondom het gereed maken van zendingen met gevaarlijke stoffen en goederen. Je krijgt een baan waar je lichamelijk werk afwisselt met bureauwerk, de verdeling hiervan is ongeveer 60% operationeel en 40% administratief.
Je werkt op de afdeling Sample Management Dangerous Goods & Cargo en geeft advies aan onze klanten. Je hebt klantcontact per mail en telefoon en daarnaast schakel je regelmatig met chauffeurs en collega’s.

Heb je werkervaring of een afgeronde Mbo-opleiding in de richting van transport of logistiek? Dat is een mooie basis voor deze baan! Verder herken jij jezelf in de volgende competenties en vaardigheden.
Je hebt een hekel aan saai werk! Je bent niet bang om je handen uit je mouwen te steken en je wil jezelf graag verder verdiepen en ontwikkelen binnen het vak. Je werkt op Mbo-niveau en hebt een klantvriendelijke instelling. Je hebt een goede beheersing van de Nederlandse en Engelse taal en je hebt een rijbewijs, zodat je ook bij klanten op locaties werkzaamheden kunt uitvoeren.
Om veilig te kunnen werken in ons magazijn ben je in het bezit van de volgende certificaten. Zo niet? Dan kun je bij SGS deze certificaten halen nadat je aan de slag bent gegaan.
Verder bestaat de basis opleiding uit een IATA DG-opleiding en een IMDG-training.
